Whoa

This is a huge deal.
So I was shuffling through my binder of all my adoption stuff, my birth certificate, my birthparents' medical backgrounds, their physical descriptions, and all the letters from my mom and my adoptive mother that they wrote back and forth until I was fourteen or so that they sent through the social worker. On one of the description forms from LDS adoption services (which actually resemble temple recommends, tithing slips, etc, as far as format) there's a space to mark if there is any history of twins or triplets in the birthparents' families. My birthmother originally wrote "_ _ _ _ _ is a twin" in my birthfather's slot. The social worker went back after my birthmother had done this and removed the name, because, you know, that wasn't protocol. I can't know their names/meet them/see pictures/anything until I'm 21. When I had read this part of the form before, all I thought was "Oh neat, my birthfather was a twin. Maybe I'll have twins." TODAY I realized that the name wasn't scratched out, like I originally thought it was, it was just WHITED out. So, somewhat secret-agent-ly, I pulled the paper out of the sheet protector and scratched the white-out off with my thumbnail...and there was my birthfather's first name! Just chilling there on the paper! Cool huh?!

I thought you were going to say that you had a twin. It was kinda a let down.
